Diesel Mechanic
Shaw Contracting (Aust) Pty Ltd, is a leading provider of Civil, Building and Mining Contracting services. We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic person to fill the role of Diesel Mechanic based at our Newnham workshop and requires regular travel to project sites across Tasmania. This is a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnosis, repair and maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic, diesel systems, auto electrical, and hydraulic repairs in accordance with requirements detailed on job cards.
- All general servicing tasks.
- Coaching, mentoring, training of Apprentices, Trades Assistants.
- To maintain quality and urgency in the work performed.
Essential Requirements:
- Civil construction industry or a similar related field.
- Proven experience in a similar fleet workshop/field service role.
- Possess a Trade Qualification as a Diesel Mechanic
- Open HR license preferred but not essential
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Demonstrated ability working within a fast-paced environment

Marketing and Communications Advisor
About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Marketing and Communications Advisor to join our team on a part-time, basis based in our Launceston office, reporting to the CEO. The Marketing and Communication Advisor will work across the business to support the development of a range of marketing and communication activities.
Duties include:
- Implement the Communications Plan, monthly progress reporting
- Be responsible for the management of the HubSpot and ensuring the business utilises the software optimally
- Development of Internal and external communications
- Management of Style Guide and working document templates
- Website management
- Social Media management
- Shaw Functions co-ordination
- External event co-ordination
- Sponsorship Management
- Other marketing and promotional initiatives as required
Skills and experience:
To be the successful candidate, you will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience working with HubSpot or similar CRM
- A track record of creating and delivering high quality content via multiple platforms and channels
- Strong stakeholder management
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to disseminate complex information
- A collaborative attitude and approach to working in a team environment
